The main purpose for this project was to revalue the existing building recognized by its architectural and historical heritage. A new office building was projected behind the existing one that will accomodate the commercial area for the complex. These two buildings are autonomous yet connected through a pedestrian green area. The complex will house a series of technological firms given that its located in the city´s technological district.

For the existing building, the main idea was to recycle the existing construction with historical heritage, switching it from an industrial use to a commercial and gastronomical use, in a neighbourhood that is currently lacking these facilities due to the crescent demand for office square meters. For the new building, high tech offices were projected to accommodate firms that are relocating its headquarters to the city’s technopole.

During the design phase, the main idea for this project was to highlight and revalue the existing buildings. From a peatonal point of view, the existing building is predominant over the new construction. We were clear we did not want this two to compete, an in the end it is visible how well these two interact harmonically.
